We are just beginning to blog our travels and stories. Deciding how to journal all that we are seeing is a work in progress, but for now, we will do it this way. There will be two blog posts each week. One will be about the week in general. Where we went, where we stayed, our hosts (if we have one), and what we did while we were there. The other post will be one or two stories of people we met on the road, either homeless or those who serve the homeless. As I said, this is a work in progress, so we could change our format if we see this doesn't work.
Week One: Dallas and Forth Worth
We arrived in Grapevine, Texas, on January 2nd and met up with some old friends of mine, friends of 25 years. There were ten of us that met for lunch. It was great fun to get to share with them all that God has done in my life. Fun to catch up.
As lunch drew to a close, and many started to leave, there were a few that stayed behind; dear friends needing prayer, healing, forgiveness. It was such a sweet time praying with those ladies. I told a friend "we rocked that room with prayer." The Holy Spirit was there. Thank you Jesus for these sweet friends.

You know some prayer happened with these ladies! They said they normally have about an hour Bible study and then lunch, and then done by 12:30. HA! Not that day! 5 hours later, we wrapped up and headed to the streets!
Day four we continued to work with The Voice of Hope, in East Dallas where we got to pass out Bibles, TONS OF FRUIT AND VEGGIES from a local farmer's market, as well as bread and bagels and clothes. And then we ended up at Unity Park in Forth Worth. Here are a few pictures of our time there.
But to get the full impact of our daily journey, go to our Facebook page and look at all the pictures!
We are heading off to Austin next week. We are looking forward to our time there.
Special thanks to our host this week. Sandra, we are so appreciative of the hospitality. May God Bless You!
As we prepare to head to Austin our needs are prayer, lots and lots of prayer. A sensitivity to the Holy Spirit so that we are always where God wants us to be, even if it isn't on the schedule! Food and Gas money. You can always donate, at any time, by going here. We are a 501C3, so all of your donations are tax deductible. And lastly, places to sleep in our upcoming cities, El Paso and Riverside, CA.
